But again, I found it interesting, there's a lot of fly-on-the-wall detail in it that goes a bit deeper past the "legend." It's just one person's perspective on a brief period, as opposed to a complete view, as it is her memoir of the time, not a full bio of FZ. Hardly seemed a groupie in that regard, Zappa hired her to be his secretary. She was also a relatively cultured British woman who didn't really know Zappa's work at first, and no, doesn't pretend to interpret it or say too much about it. If you are referring indeed to the right book, she wrote based on what she wrote down in that time period, so the amount of recall didn't phase me.
